For many local restaurant owners, their brick and mortar spots become a home-away-from-home, and not just for themselves, but for the whole community.
Sandwich resident Barb Howell has found such a place in Krua Khun Rose on Cotuit Road in Sandwich, and she’s not the only one.
Since opening in February 2021, Rossukhun “Rose” Kelly, has not only cooked up some of the finest authentic Thai food around, but has also served hundreds of free lunches to the Sandwich Food Pantry and the First Church, and invites first responders and lineworkers to eat on the house whenever there is a weather event.
Every month, along with The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod and Cape Cod Broadcasting, we share stories from across Cape Cod about how our local businesses do more for this community than simply provide goods and services and why shopping with them is more than just a single transaction.
