Cape Cod’s Winter Wonderland Weekend is back!
Calling all merry makers, snow angels, and little drummer boys!The 2nd Annual Hyannis Holiday promises to be the ultimate winter celebration. Hyannis Main Street, Love Live Local, Arts Barnstable, Greater Hyannis Civic Association and the Cape Cod Maritime Museum are joining forces once again to bring the magic of the holidays to Hyannis for a weekend of wonder.
Starting Friday, December 6th, downtown Hyannis comes alive with s’mores, holiday singing, and Santa arriving by golf cart, leading up to the 2nd Annual Nautical Boat Lighting. Shops will stay open late for a festive Sip & Shop, where you can enjoy seasonal cocktails and browse locally-made gifts.
On Saturday, December 7th, the Main Street Stroll offers family fun with petting zoos, pony rides, and Santa sightings. Find unique gifts at the 11th Annual Love Local Fest, featuring 120+ local makers. The December event is located at the Hyannis Village Green, which is located at 367 Main Street, Hyannis right in the heart of downtown Hyannis.
There is super convenient parking surrounding the Hyannis Village Green, so anywhere you park on and around Main Street will be within close walking distance.
The weather on Cape Cod is hard to predict, so we encourage people to keep an eye on the local forecast and dress appropriately. Wearing layers, packing hand and toe warmers, and drinking hot cocoa will definitely keep you warm on a December day. And keep in mind, if there is extreme weather, the event will take place on Sunday, December 3.
It is free to come to the event, but for our Holiday Edition we do have a suggested $10 donation at the entrance to support our non-profit. And don’t forget to bring your holiday shopping budget with you, so you can shop with our local makers and brands for all of your gift giving needs!
Local food trucks and vendors will be offering grilled scallops, burgers, BBQ, pizza and more! And there will be plenty to satisfy your sweet tooth on Gingerbread Lane at the Harbor Overlook. We will also have our craft beverage garden in the bandstand and at the Snack Shack where you will find local brews and wine.
You know it! We have a whole zone for the kiddos hosted by Oplaysis Spaces on Gingerbread Lane at the Hyannis Harbor Overlook.
They sure are - as long as they are leashed and like to make friends with other pooches, dogs are most certainly welcome at the Fests.
Yes! You can shop the Fest online through our website where you will find a “booth” for each vendor. You can also join our Love Local Fest dedicated Facebook group, where participating vendors will be posting new products, specials and sales for a week after the event too!
The Love Local Fest :: Holiday Edition takes place during the Hyannis Village Stroll which encourages people to jingle all the way from Main Street to Hyannis Harbor, enjoying activities including a petting zoo and pony rides, Santa’s Reindeer Round-up scavenger hunt, caroling, ice-carving, and visiting with Santa after he arrives by boat during the Hyannis Harbor Boat Parade and sets up shop at a nearby sea shanty.
The event is a true community collaboration between the Hyannis Main Street Business Improvement District, Love Live Local, ArtsBarnstable, the HyArts Campus, the Hyannis Civic Association and the Town of Barnstable.
