The business did not sell their products online and needed an ecommerce website. Additionally, they have had some minor success with their social media marketing, but Sarah and Gary still don’t feel as though they have a handle on how to make it engaging and get a return on their time investment. A new website would also involve new photographs of the interior and exterior of the store, which could both use a paint job.

"I am THRILLED with our new lightbox. It is saving me an amazing amount of time and effort when taking the photographs for social media and the website."

Sarah Framson, Jewelcraft

IDENTIFIED CHALLENGES AND PRIORITIES:

  1. Connect them with the Empower Digital grant program that could cover the cost of a new website and social media strategy.
  2. Invest in freshening up the interior and exterior of the store.
  3. Create a mural or landscaping feature on the exterior of the store.
  4. Hire a photographer to take photos of the store and products

COMPLETED PRIORITIES:

  1. Unfortunately they were not successful with their Empower Digital grant application, so the grant monies were used to upgrade their website to a new ecommerce site.
  2. Invested in a specialty lightbox that will make taking photographs of their inventory easier and better for the website and social media.
  3. New sign was purchased from J&J Sign Co. for the building that has recently undergone facade improvements.

The Local Business Boost Program started in 2022 and is currently a partnership between Love Live Local and the Hyannis Main Street Business Improvement District. Additional funding is being sought to take the program to other local businesses across Cape Cod.
