In what has been the most challenging year to make the 2020 Love Local Fests happen Cape Codders from near and far came, saw and shopped local! And whether it is in-person or online (or both!) you keep showing up for our small businesses not just at the Fests but on our Main Streets, in our downtowns and even down our side roads! Our sincerest thanks to you, your dedication to them (and to us) will make such a difference for the Cape Cod community!

Love Live Local’s Love Local Fests are events where people gather and to show their support for the local business community. They occur the last Sunday in July and September and the first weekend in December. Each event is free and open to the public and features the work of 75-120 Cape Cod makers, artisans, artists, farmers and local businesses, along with local entertainment and opportunities to connect with the community.
In a typical year, the summer festivals take place at Aselton Park on Hyannis Harbor. This is when we showcase an amazing collection of Cape Cod’s homegrown artists, artisans, farmers, food trucks, musicians + other independent makers.
Our Holiday Edition on the first full weekend in December is the ultimate holiday shopping experience with over 100 of the Cape’s best local vendors. We are planning on the Fest once again taking place at the Barnstable High School in Hyannis.
The application period for the 2020 Fest season opens on May 15, 2020. Prior to that applications are only considered from Love Local Field Guide advertisers. We accept applications only from local makers and growers based on Cape Cod, and the businesses that support them. Please read the following information in its entirety before submitting an application.
The Love Local Fests are unique events to Cape Cod that attract thousands of people throughout the festival season. Love Live Local promotes the Fests throughout the year through traditional media, but also through our digital and social media channels.
Please note we strive to make our Fests great experiences for our attendees and our vendors, so we have limited spaces for different groupings of vendors. The products you list on your application must be the products you plan to sell at the events. We do accept applications from organizations and services; however, we give preference to those who advertise in the Love Local Field Guide.
The cost for the summer festivals is $125 per day/$100 per day for Love Local Field Guide advertisers (these costs are subject to change if the format of the event changes)
The cost for the holiday festival is $200 for two days/ $150 for two days for Love Local Field Guide advertisers (these costs are subject to change if the format of the event changes)
Summer shows usually take place outdoors at Aselton Park in Hyannis, however there are still a lot of questions surrounding the 2020 season due to the Covid-19 pandemic. We will be waiting to hear guidelines issued by the state and Town of Barnstable as to whether we can hold a large outdoor event. If we are unable to do so, we will change the format of the event, and hold it in the virtual space. We will keep vendors up to date as the specifics become more clear, and will provide information as soon as we can.
At the outdoor events each vendor is responsible with providing a white (exceptions may be made) 10×10 tent. We cannot guarantee access to Wifi, personal hotspots are recommended for any vendor who relies on internet access. Electricity is limited to certain areas, please inquire with specific needs. Official vending hours are 11am to 6pm. Set up time and details are sent out to vendors prior to the show.
The two-day holiday show usually takes place at the Barnstable High School Gym and Field House. Vendors are responsible for their entire set up including tables and chairs.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic our 2020 events have had to take place primarily online. The virtual events last an entire week and consist of vendor videos on a dedicated festival web page, the ability to sell products in a dedicated Facebook Group and other social media exposure on Love Live Local’s platforms. You must have the ability to sell online in order to participate. The cost for a spot in the Virtual Fests is $60 for regular vendors and $50 for Love Local Field Guide advertisers. More detailed information and participation instructions are sent upon acceptance into the festival. In-person events are decided on a case-by-case basis.
