We have always embraced the adage community over competition, and we know so many local businesses that operate by the same philosophy – helping one another succeed and grow, rather than seeing them as rivals.

Ron and Connor, who opened Seagull’s Ice Cream and Soda Fountain in Harwich Port in 2021 and had manufactured their own bow tie line for many years before that, are two such business owners.

Throughout their entrepreneurial careers Ron and Connor have not only served as mentors for EforAll and supported fellow craftspeople through their volunteer work for the Harwich Cranberry Festival.

What’s more, they are well known for helping other local businesses get online and navigate technology decisions, stocking the Artisans Corner in their shop with products from other local and family businesses.

And perhaps the best part? They are open through December, so you can check in with them and enjoy their delicious ice cream even in the off season.

Every month, along with The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod and Cape Cod Broadcasting, we share stories from across Cape Cod about how our local businesses do more for this community than simply provide goods and services and why shopping with them is more than just a single transaction.
