Pupcakes owner, Juliana Paes, highlighted a few pieces of equipment and interior improvements that would help them improve their offerings and expand their team and clientele, such as purchasing a new high velocity drier and dog grooming table and a tool cabinet. Additionally, they wanted to install a new glass door in between the grooming salon and the boutique, repaint and adjust some store fixtures for better functionality.

"The new table has allowed us to increase her business as we are able to take larger dogs now. The new dryer has also helped tremendously as it makes cleanup far more efficient and decreases the amount of time wasted on cleanup so we can increase our sales."

IDENTIFIED CHALLENGES AND PRIORITIES:
- Purchase additional larger grooming table in order to be able to provide service for larger dogs and process more clients in general.
- Purchase higher quality equipment such as a drier and grooming sheers that would enable to staff to be more streamlined and efficient with their service.
- Install a door between the grooming area and retail store to increase safety for clients and customers.
COMPLETED PRIORITIES:
- Purchased new equipment.
- Installed new door.
The Local Business Boost Program started in 2022 and is currently a partnership between Love Live Local and the Hyannis Main Street Business Improvement District. Additional funding is being sought to take the program to other local businesses across Cape Cod.
