Reintroducing Jen Villa

After more than a decade of championing local businesses and shaping Love Live Local, I’m excited to reintroduce myself as the organization’s new Executive Director. This role represents my unwavering dedication to Cape Cod’s small business community—a passion I’ve been pursuing since 2009. As I take on this position, I want to share my story and vision for the future, which has been deeply rooted in advocating for local businesses since co-founding Love Live Local in 2013.

Throughout our journey, I’ve been the creative force behind Love Live Local, handling everything from designing our visuals to photographing our events and crafting the voice you hear in every caption, comment, and post across social media. Every piece of content reflects my commitment to amplifying the voices of our small business community. Whether it's creative storytelling or hands-on advocacy, my mission has always been to foster connections and build a strong, resilient local economy.

My passion for supporting local businesses began in 2009 when I opened The Little Beach Gallery in Hyannis, a space dedicated to showcasing local artists and makers. It was through this work that I realized the transformative power of shopping and living local—I even launched a buy local merchandise line to encourage others to embrace this mindset. Today, Love Live Local’s headquarters is housed in that very same building that I now own, continuing the legacy of supporting Cape Cod’s creative and entrepreneurial spirit.

In addition to my work with Love Live Local, I co-own The West End, a restaurant and events venue in Hyannis, with my husband Blane, who also serves as our General Manager. As a business operator and employer, I understand firsthand the challenges small business owners face, from managing seasonal shifts to navigating the complexities of staying open year-round. Thanks to Blane’s leadership in handling the daily operations, and our amazing team, I’m able to fully focus my energies on leading Love Live Local into this next chapter. While you may still catch me greeting guests from time to time (because I truly love connecting with our community), my priority is ensuring that Love Live Local continues to be a vital resource for local businesses.

As Executive Director, my mission is clear: to continue supporting and growing Cape Cod’s small business economy. Love Live Local has always been about more than just business—it’s about community, connection, and the unique spirit that makes Cape Cod so special. I’ve been part of this journey from the start, and I’m committed to leading us forward, ensuring our local economy remains strong and vibrant.

Thank you for believing in our mission and trusting me to guide this incredible organization. I’m excited to continue this journey with you all—our supporters, small business owners, and community members—as we work together to make Cape Cod a place where local truly matters.

Let’s keep growing together,
Jen Villa
Executive Director, Love Live Local
