Local business owners not only provide great service and reinvest more of their profits back into the local economy, but they also lend their time and expertise to the Cape Cod community.

Kevin Decoteau of KMD Plumbing cares so much about the next generation of Cape Codders that he sponsors and coaches Little League teams, and in his spare time redesigns the kids’ playing fields and spends time shaping up the snack bar and bathrooms. Kevin also participates in Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical School’s “Cooperative Work Experience” providing valuable on-the-job training and mentoring for students in the plumbing field.

It is people like Kevin who connect this community together and not only make it productive but also make it a positive place to grow up.

Every month, along with The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod and Cape Cod Broadcasting, we share stories from across Cape Cod about how our local businesses do more for this community than simply provide goods and services and why shopping with them is more than just a single transaction.
