Syd felt that additional marketing efforts would help her spread the word about the business, as well as educate the public about the benefits of her services. Additionally, she feels the layout of the reception room does not serve all of the needs of business and the customers.

IDENTIFIED CHALLENGES AND PRIORITIES:

1. Engage with a local marketing agency that understands the salt spa business to design and execute a marketing strategy that uses public outreach (open houses, other events), public relations (highlight recent achievements) and social media (focusing efforts on platforms where their customers are) to being customers in and educate about the product.
2. Enlist an interior designer to analyze the current retail and treatment space to ensure it is being used effectively and reflects the brand.
3. Connect with the Town of Barnstable about the potential for a ladder sign on North Street, and lighting out back that could alleviate parking lots issues.

COMPLETED PRIORITIES:

1. Enlisted the services of Delude Communications for 6 months to increase online visibility of the spa.
2. Connected with the Town of Barnstable about the issues in the North Street parking lots and gave feedback about increasing business visibility if/when parking lots are repaved.
   
   

The Local Business Boost Program started in 2022 and is currently a partnership between Love Live Local and the Hyannis Main Street Business Improvement District. Additional funding is being sought to take the program to other local businesses across Cape Cod.
