Pizza and cocktails at Flying Fish — or take it to-go at the Wellfleet Drive-In. Bonus: Block & Tackle for BBQ that's worth sitting at the bar for.

START YOUR DAY AT:

Gelato Joy, always. There's never a line in the morning and they have the absolute best iced lattes in town. I'll make it an affogato if it's after 11am.

SPEND YOUR MORNING:

The White Cedar Swamp at the old Marconi Station is my favorite trail — especially on a hot day, because it's shaded. But if I'm already in town center, I like drive out to Great Island and perch on the bay beach dune with my coffee. If I'm being honest, I'll also try to squeeze in a morning Reformer Pilates class at Heart Core.

GRAB LUNCH AT:

The Bookstore. It's best to sit at a high top in the bar area, so you've got a view of the water.

SPEND YOUR AFTERNOON:

Start on the west end of Main St. and browse the many shops and galleries, stop at Uncle Tim's Bridge, and eventually meander down Commercial St. to Wellfleet Marina. If you've got kids, the Wellfleet Public Library is seriously a GEM. End the afternoon walk at The Pearl for happy hour + live music — order the tuna sashimi and a Farmer's Daughter.

INDULGE IN A TREAT AT:

PJ's for a black raspberry / coffee twist cone – they're the only ones who have it.

END YOUR DAY AT:

If the weather is nice, a thin-crust pizza and cocktail at the outside bar at Flying Fish gives a great sunset. But my other ideal evening is to take the pizza to-go and head to the Wellfleet Drive-In!
