A Perfect Day in Eastham

Lucky's Corner baked goods, a lobster roll from Mac's Seafood, Fort Hill hiking, and dinner at Casa del Cabo. Kristen & Joe's #1 tip: skip the bay-side sunset and go to Coast Guard Beach — the light on the ocean side is unlike anything else on Cape Cod.

Start your day at:
Coffee and breakfast at home -- but when we go out, it's Lucky's Corner for breakfast and baked goods.
Spend your morning:

Wandering off-trail in the woods near our home in North Eastham with our dog Yoshimi, or walking the paths around Salt Pond down to Coast Guard. We're also regulars at Bob Korn Imaging (best printer around), Ace Hardware (family-owned, wonderful people), and the North Eastham Post Office.

Grab lunch at:

Mac's Seafood on Rte 6.

Spend your afternoon:

Walking, hiking, or photographing around Hemenway, Fort Hill, Salt Pond, or our favorite secret spots in the woods near Bees River.

Indulge in a treat at:

Ben & Jerry's for ice cream, or Chocolate Cafe for gifts and chocolate.

End your day at:

Casa del Cabo for dinner. For sunset, we prefer the ocean side -- usually Coast Guard Beach -- because of the way the sun comes over the land and lights everything up.

Bonus -- Hidden Gem or Insider Tip:

Skip the bay-side sunset crowd. The ocean side, especially around Coast Guard Beach, is ever-changing thanks to the trees, low cliffs, and the paths winding out to the marsh and Doane Rock. The bike path across the bridge, 15 to 20 minutes before sunset, offers some of the best light on Cape Cod.
