A P’Town + Cape Cod Resilience Fund initiative
Small businesses on Cape Cod are still feeling the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, and nowhere is it more pronounced than in Provincetown.
After a devastating 2020, all signs pointed to a record 2021 summer season for local businesses in Provincetown. But with the Delta variant causing a spike in COVID cases across much of the country and a high-profile cluster in Provincetown specifically, many of the businesses in Provincetown have seen their hopes of a banner year dashed.
Since 4th of July many businesses have seen their sales drop by as much as 80%. After struggling to make it through the impacts of the pandemic in 2020, and with the cost of doing business higher than ever, they need the Cape Cod community’s support.
Love Live Local + the Provincetown Chamber of Commerce have teamed up for a special fundraising effort for the Cape Cod Resilience Fund to provide a bit of a boost to the local businesses who have already been through so much. The goal is to raise $15,000 throughout the month of September to provide support to as many businesses as we can.
Any small business owned on Cape Cod and operated in Provincetown can apply. Preference will be given to year-round, community- minded, brick and mortar businesses located in the downtown area.
