We’re smitten with Pickle Jar Kitchen, a new gem on the Falmouth scene. The house-pickled veggies provide a perfect pucker; we wish we had tried the fried pickle chips. Next time! Sandwiches come on warm rolls, in pairs. Farm-fresh sliced egg with dill aioli thrilled us, and the Pickle Jar Chicken Sammies with cranberry whipped goat cheese … yes, please. Vegetarians rejoice: we were over the moon about our options, like the generous Crispy Tofu Salad and the Road Race Roll, which features seriously awesome roasted tomato and white bean hummus along with quinoa tabouleh. For breakfast, reasonably priced “sammiches” and healthy scrambles complement braised pork & chilies and “the ultimate hash,” a pork lover’s dream. Oh, did we mention that the gorgeous, well-stocked bar (have a Bloody Mary!) and kitschy details like drinks served in Mason jars, bookshelves lined with vintage containers, and casually placed antiques made us feel at home? Tell them we sent you!
