Whether you spend a lot of time in Falmouth or you only pop into town once in a while, the newly opened Devour is a welcome addition offering fresh and different choices for breakfast and lunch to Main Street’s already extraordinary cache of eateries.
Owners Hollis and Aanjes Hershfield drew on their love of food and cooking, extensive world travel and their desire to feed people and created an impressively curated menu of artisan sandwiches, soups, salads, rice bowls, house-made baked goods, sodas and fresh smoothies that meets most dietary needs and choices (think gluten free, vegetarian and vegan), offers a few indulgences (think buttermilk fried chicken) and incorporates local ingredients when possible. They also have a simpler – but still fun – kids’ menu named after their daughter Willa.
Located in Library Square at the beginning or end of Falmouth’s Main Street, depending on which direction you are headed, you can eat in or carry out at Devour seven days a week.
With the homey décor and Aanjes’ (who many people know as the leader of our local burlesque dance troupe the Brazen Belles) welcoming energy, the vibe lends itself to be the perfect spot for a quick stop, a working lunch, or breakfast with friends.
