Coworking spaces, where entrepreneurs and telecommuters can access affordable shared office space with amenities like private meeting rooms, kitchen and cutting-edge technology, have been on the rise across the country and on Cape Cod over the past few years. Chatham Works is the newest collaborative workspace set to open locally, but they are taking the concept one step further to also include a fitness facility. So, you can work, workout or do both.
The goal of owners Fred and Lindsay Bierwirth is for the co-working space to be a hub for local entrepreneurs and to foster entrepreneurship in the Lower Cape area, and for their fitness center to offer newer approaches towards health and wellness focusing functional training, group exercise classes, and newer technology.
The entire 10,000 square foot facility has been designed around new approaches to exercise and productivity, to offer convenience, encourage work/life balance and to foster community.
And that is our favorite thing about Chatham Works and what Fred and Lindsay are creating: their dedication to creating this facility and its associated programming for the year-round Cape Cod community. Because they know this will foster a work and play environment that is contemporary, fun, positive and social, and bring together a group of people who are as invested in this place as they are.
