What started as Cape Cod’s first mobile nail salon in 2016, where the polish, soaking tubs and foot rubs are brought to you for your wedding day, girls night or birthday party, has now evolved to include the Cape’s very first nail polish brand. Cape Cod Nail Company started developing polish that is ‘9 free’ which means their polish contains no toluene, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, dibutyl phthalate (DBP), camphor, xylene, ethyl tosylamide, parabens, or acetone. The polish is also cruelty free, made in the USA, and hand bottled.
Founder and owner Sarah Mason draws on her Cape Cod roots not only for the branding of the polish but also for the cute and quirky names of her line’s unique colors. Think ‘Did the Rotary Confuschia’ for her hot pink, ‘Stay off the Dunes’ for her beige, ‘Lifeguard on Duty’ for her bright red, and ‘Where the Figawi?’ for her foggy grey.
We weren’t the only ones to fall in love with Sarah when we met her and her polish (so much so, we decided to stock her products in our new LoveLocal Collective!); she recently won a pitch contest put on by Entrepreneurship for All South Coast. We can’t wait to see how much farther she will grow!
