Fashion Show Night Out
Dennis, MA
April 4 from 6-8pm
View the latest spring fashions from great locally owned boutiques at The Current Quarterly Spring Fashion Show to be held on the Cape Cinema stage on April 4 from 6 pm to 8 pm.
The Current Quarterly is Cape Cod’s first and only dedicated fashion magazine, featuring narratives of and products from locally owned shops. Along with producing a magazine for each fashion season, the magazine hosts a fashion show to benefit a local non-profit organization. For spring, the beneficiary is WE CAN, a local organization that provides women with opportunities to develop skills through mentoring, legal aid, and trainings and workshops in order to help them through challenging life transitions. Keep an eye out because you might recognize some of the models!
If you have time before the show, stop by the Cape Cod Museum of Art to view Nigerian artist Frank Chike Anigbo’s exhibition, Skid Row: Paintings of Life on the Streets, on display until April 7. Anigbo, now a resident of Barnstable, presents powerful, authentic, and rare images of individuals he met during time spent in Skid Row, the infamous section of downtown Los Angeles with a large chronically homeless population.
After the fashion show, cross over the Cape Cod Center for the Arts parking lot to Harvest Gallery Wine Bar for the after-party. In addition to its laid-back atmosphere, Harvest offers a wonderful combination of fine art, wine from around the world, a local and organic food menu, and a unique live local music scene.
