Every spring we see new spots pop up like the crocuses reaching for signs of sunlight. The newest kid on the block is The Lanyard Bar & Grill in Harwich Port, taking over what was the Land Ho! Restaurant for nearly the last decade.
Local restaurateur Ben Porter, of Viera in West Harwich, along with Matt Kelley and Lou Malzone lead the charge and plan to maintain the local following and charm that the space has been known for by keeping the fun, lively atmosphere and neighborhood feel.
With less than two weeks under their belt, they haven’t skipped a beat and seem to have won over the hearts of the locals. Expect a full lineup of live entertainment, an impressive beer selection with yummy pub food, house made BBQ and some elevated items like Chorizo Beer Broth Chatham Mussels and Quinoa Salmon.
According to the owners, the name “lanyard” refers to the idea of keeping something of importance close, whether it’s a sword, a boat, or a community…one they plan to provide with great food, great drink and a great time.
