What could better than hearing Jung Ho Pak conduct the Cape Symphony at their usual venue of the Performing Arts Center at Barnstable High School? We think it would be experiencing a multimedia performance featuring the Symphony’s principal musicians and community choral groups under the stars at the Cape Cod National Seashore.

On Friday, August 25 at 6:30 pm (rain date is August 26) the Symphony along with the National Park Service and the Lower Cape Outreach Council present the free concert they’ve entitled “Sanctuary” at the newly renovated outdoor amphitheater at the Salt Pond Visitor Center in Eastham.

Through music, words, and images – with special guests from the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal Council, Center for Coastal Studies, and the Rum Soaked Crooks – they’ll celebrate the extraordinary nature, history, and sense of community that make the Outer Cape a sanctuary for an abundance of living things.

Bench and lawn chair seating is available on a first-come, first-serve basis, so be sure to get there on the earlier side!
