We’re already filling in our 2017 calendar with can’t-miss-it events for the year, and thought we’d share a few of our top picks with you …

  • Carousel of Light Winter Movie Series {January 11 – February 15} Catch throwback and modern classics like Singin’ In The Rain, West Side Story, Chicago and DreamGirls at the Falmouth Cinema Pub, all while raising money for the Carousel of Light! Reservations suggested.
  • Dancing with the Docs {March 4} If you’re a Dancing with the Stars fan, then you won’t want to miss ten local doctors teaming up with area ballroom dancers for a great cause – the Cape Wellness Collaborative. The couples will practice and perfect their signature ballroom dance routines for an incredible live showcase!
  • Aston’s Bloody Mary Mix-Off {April 9} Help EmBargo and LoveLiveLocal raise another record amount for Cape Cod Child Development’s Early Intervention program while tasting the best Bloody Mary’s on the sandbar – featuring an incredible silent and live auction!
  • Cape Cod Women’s Music Fest {May 13} An annual showcase of some of the most talented local and regional female performers around, this evening at the legendary  Cape Playhouse in Dennis is a spring highlight that sells out fast. Men welcome, too!
  • Figawi Charity Ball {May 20} Held the weekend before the famed Figawi sailing race, this premier event kicks off summer with a chance to dress to the nines, sample local restaurant offerings, dance like crazy, try your luck in the casino, and participate in one of the best auctions around – all for dozens of Cape Cod charities.
  • CCYP Shape Your Cape Summit {May 26} Want change locally? Get involved! Engage in discussion with local leaders and influencers, and learn more about the local businesses that support a vibrant community on Cape Cod.
  • Provincetown Film Festival {June 14-18}  One of the preeminent film fests in the country, this 18th annual event will attract the best in independent films and plenty of fun, creative vibes in the height of the Outer Cape’s season.
  • Woods Hole Film Fest {July 29 – August 5} Can’t get enough cinematic excellence? Head to the Upper Cape for eight days of screenings, workshops, panels, parties and more. {Also check out their off-season events!}
  • LoveLocal Fests {July 30, September 24, December 3} Don’t miss the fifth season of our popular locally focused, free, family friendly festivals by Hyannis Harbor! Plan to bring the kids, the dog, and a cooler and post up for a day of enjoying local food, music, vendors, and Cape Cod Beer! Our Holiday Edition at the Cape Cod Community Media Center is THE place to do all your seasonal shopping!
  • Hookers Ball {August 5} The sixteenth annual Hookers Ball is the best mid-summer party, and benefits the Cape Cod Commercial Fishermen’s Alliance. Eat tons of fresh local seafood, dance, drink and socialize for a great cause!
  • Pops By The Sea {August 13} The sandbar’s single largest cultural event brings the world-renowned Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra to the Hyannis Village Green, hosted by the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod. You can count on exciting surprise guests and an awesome pre-show for those {wisely} getting their lawn seats hours in advance.
  • Truro Ag Fair {September 3} This free Truro tradition marks the transition from summer to harvest season, showcasing local foodways, agriculture, and history with an eye toward a sustainable future.
  • Cape Cod Scallop Fest {September 22 – 24} Fun for the whole family in East Falmouth, celebrating one of the Cape’s signature shellfish. Three days of music, food and fun  – even cornhole tournaments and a car show!
  • Wellfleet OysterFest {October 14-15} If you’ve not yet been to OysterFest, this is your year! The sweetest and briniest, most delicious bivalves in the world, rocking local music, food and craft vendors galore … there is plenty for the whole family at this annual favorite.
  • First Night Chatham {December 31}  A Cape Cod favorite, this family friendly, alcohol free, town-wide celebration of the arts features more than 70 performances and events. Highlights include fireworks at Oyster Pond as the Countdown Cod ushers in the New Year!
