What was once known as the Yarn Hound in Dennis Village now has a new owner, a new name, and some fresh new ideas.
Barnstable native Julia Goldstein moved back to Cape Cod with her husband and newborn baby last year with a dream of starting her own business that would have a focus on fiber arts, and creating quality and meaningful products and experiences.
Fast forward one year and the Salt Yarn Studio is now a reality. Housed in a 200-year-old cottage, the space will be a fiber arts retail, education and design destination. The community oriented studio will encourage learning and play, with creative programming for all ages.
Some of the class offerings will continue what the Yarn Hound was known for – drop-in knitting and instruction, but Julia plans to also offer creative crochet classes as well as a Macrame class this summer with author and designer Emily Katz.
And as always, it will remain a spot to get all of your knitting needs met!
