Printmaking at the New Church

There is no doubt in our minds that the Cape is home to its fair share of talented artists, but here is an opportunity to become one.

On Saturday, August 9 from 2 -5pm Yarmouthport’s New Church Preservation Foundation invites you to PrintFest, an event for all ages that allows attendees to become printmakers themselves using ink and various materials to create a single block print, monoprints or collographs of whatever inspires for the Community Print Wall or for their own home.

The event also includes a group show with a range of print types by local artists Bruce Chandler, Sara Ringler, Mary Ann Agresti, and Lena Marchi.

The mission of the New Church Preservation Foundation is to restore and preserve the historic former Yarmouth New Church. The building is known as one of the finest surviving examples of American gothic architecture in New England. Over the past few years the New Church has become a center for community activities including concerts, art exhibitions, film screenings, and dramatic presentations, and is certainly a Cape Cod gem.
