Portside Tavern

After multiple incarnations, the space now occupied by Portside Tavern in Hyannis seems to have found its family. The New American restaurant offers multiple dining experiences in one place – sit at the comfortable bar and watch any of the games featured on Portside’s multiple large screen televisions, head upstairs for a cozier experience or choose the front room for a slightly more formal {but still relaxed} feel.

Owners Bob and Patty Murphy can frequently be seen around the restaurant ensuring guests are happy while chef Mike Crowell-Hall is hard at work in the kitchen creating his menu of comfort food meets fresh, local fare. A chalkboard map of Cape Cod and the South Coast highlights local offerings, including Cape Cod Beer, E&T Farms produce and Big Rock Oysters. We love the roasted beet salad, the bar pies, and the mac and cheese that’s almost as good as mom’s.

This relative newcomer has quickly become one of our go-to spots. The meals are affordable, portions generous and service wonderful. Follow Portside Tavern on Facebook for specials, events and more!
