These certainly are the dog days of summer…because Agway of Cape Cod is hosting their first ever – what promises to be the largest pet festival the Cape has ever seen.
The July 16 and 17 event will feature vendors, a Frisbee dog show, K-9 police demos, an agility ring, dog-friendly activities, a “Doggie University” tent, kids activities, as well as food (for the pups and their humans).
The two-day event that will take place at the Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School will also include a DockDogs® tournament, which is the fastest growing water sport for dogs where dogs jump from a platform into a 45-foot pool, competing for distance, height and speed (we are certain Cape Cod dogs will excel in this activity!).
There is a suggested $7 donation for entrance into the festival (no charge for kids 12 and under…or dogs, of course). Net proceeds from Paw Palooza will benefit the Animal Rescue League of Boston’s Cape Cod animal shelter and the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Cape Cod shelter.
