The Cape Cod Maritime Museum, located next to Aselton Park in Hyannis, is well versed in telling the stories of maritime history to Cape Cod locals and visitors, and now they are trying their hand at serving up the bounty that comes from the sea.
On Saturday, November 15, the Cape Cod Maritime Museum will host its first Ocean to Table dinner. Guests are invited to sample locally caught seafood throughout the museum, while also celebrating their new exhibit “Catboats to Clipperships: Boat Building on Cape Cod.” All will take place appropriately overlooking the Hyannis Harbor, one of the few working harbors left on Cape Cod.
In addition to hors d’oeuvres fresh off the fishing boat, the Ocean to Table dinner will also serve up Cape Cod Beer, wine, and the museum’s specialty “Spiced Island Rum Punch,” as a tribute to their outgoing exhibit on the risky business of rum running on Cape Cod.
The all-inclusive event will take place from 5:00pm to 7:30pm and is $75 per person.
