LoveLocal Fest

July 28, August 25 and September 29
Aselton Park, Hyannis
Free & Family Friendly

If you’ve been reading Love.Live.Local. on the regular, you know that our passion is for putting a spotlight on the best of local living by connecting the community and visitors to the Cape with our incredibly talented locals.  What better way to do this than a series of summer festival days on the Hyannis Harborfront?

Beginning this Sunday, July 28, and recurring on August 25 and September 29, the Love.Live.Local. team has partnered with local artisans, designers, farmers, food trucks, musicians, and other independent makers to create a fun-filled experience for visitors and locals alike.

The free, family-friendly event is intended to complement the activities in the Hyannis HyArts Cultural District by celebrating Cape Cod’s creative energy as well as its natural abundance.  Set in downtown Hyannis near the ferries, Aselton Park is a perfect location to enjoy a summer day.  Bring a friend, your kids, your dog or yourself, and strolling from Main Street to the festival, checking out local boutiques and restaurants on your way to the park.  Get to know your local artists, shop owners, farmers and musicians, who will be more than happy to tell you about their interests and inspirations.  Check out our Facebook page for spotlights on each of our vendors, which include names you know and love, as well as some you’ll see for the first time.

Grab a towel or a blanket before you come, and relax on the lawn in front of the stage. Cape Cod favorites such as Fiddlestix gourmet food trolley, Lewis Brothers homemade ice cream and Something Sweet cupcake bus will be serving up their delectable treats, which you can enjoy while listening to musical performances throughout the day.  The “Love.Listen.Local.” stage will feature local singer/songwriters Alicia Mathewson, Brendan Princi and Todd Nickerson (of 6 East), JO&CO vocalist Joanna Meager, transplanted Londoner DJ Sinnetti, jazz vocalist Cerise Bynoe, and Cape Harmony, the Cape premiere women’s a cappella group.

And, don’t miss a photo op against one of our fun backdrops, or get involved in some lawn games while you soak up the sun and salt air.

We can’t wait to see you on Sunday … be sure to look out for Jen, Amanda and Kate, the Love.Live.Local. team!
