We get so excited when local people undertake groundbreaking projects, which is why we are celebrating the founding of the Good Clothing Company by localdesigner and master tailor Kathryn Hilderbrand.
Hilderbrand has over thirty years of experience in the industry and has intimate knowledge of the challenges that designers face. She is also dedicated to ensuring that the production facility maintains ethical and green practices, as well as creates jobs for local sewers.
The Mashpee-based clothing manufacturing company aims to produce small runs of production for independent designers, including local brand Fisherman’s Daughter. One of their first endeavors is a working on a collection – from design and graphics development to ethical sourcing and production – with a country music singer, who will launch the collection on his 2015 tour.
The Good Clothing Company will launch their own campaign this month on Indiegogo to raise capital for the ongoing operations of the facility – so make sure you connect with them to stay in the know about how you can help this innovative idea thrive!
