Since we love Cape Cod entrepreneurs and all they bring to our community so very much, it naturally follows that we would love programs that offer encouragement, support, and collaboration for all kinds of entrepreneurial ventures. Which is why we were excited to hear that EforAll – a project that launched in 2010 under UMASS Lowell to “build a thriving, community- based, entrepreneurial ecosystem where people and institutions from across the community get involved and encourage entrepreneurship” – was starting a program right here on the Cape with local entrepreneur Christin Marshall as the captain of the ship.
Their programs include a year-long accelerator program that starts with a 12-week intensive session, the provision of a mentor team, investment in the most promising ventures through monetary incentives and awards, and the introduction into the local culture using pitch contests and other public events.
Speaking of pitch contests: EforAll Cape Cod is hosting their first local contest at Cape Space on Thursday, August 23 from 6-8pm (apply ASAP!) and there will be a pitch workshop prior to the event. And if you go, you might just see some familiar LoveLiveLocal faces as the judges (nudge, nudge, wink, wink).
