Inspired by our cultural tours from the pages of the 2018 CapeMade Field Guide, the fall and early holiday season is a truly magical time to explore some of the Cape’s impressive cultural centers.
Starting in Falmouth, don’t miss Highfield Hall and Gardens, a stunning historic estate with a vibrant cultural center surrounded by restored gardens, walking trails and nearly 400 acres of conservation land. Don’t miss Holidays at Highfield starting at the end of November.
Next up is Heritage Museums and Gardens, the largest public garden in Southern New England, located on 100 acres of beautiful grounds and trails along Shawme Pond in Historic Sandwich. Don’t miss Gardens Aglow as their gardens come to life with beautiful light displays and extensive indoor holiday décor beginning at the end of November.
Heading towards Barnstable, pop into the Cotuit Center for the Arts for their impressive year-round collection of plays, musicals, performances and art exhibits as well as classes for all ages. Cruise over to Barnstable Village to the Cape Cod Arts Center for more class offerings and rotating exhibits at one of the Cape’s original art centers.
Rounding out the upper to mid cape cultural tour, don’t miss the dynamic Cultural Center of Cape Cod located in Yarmouth. They have a full lineup of exhibits, musical performances, special events, workshops and so much more.
