How could we not throw down a mention about a professional wrestling match where the aim is to help a local kid beat cancer? Together with WCOD, Athletic Performance Training, and Massachusetts Championship Wrestling, the Falmouth guys behind The Running Waves and Quahog Republic present a Clams Slam Cancer event “Friday Night Raw” on Friday, January 13 from 6-9pm at the Falmouth Ice Arena.
The $10 entry fee gets you in to see the show, free food and drink, as well as a wrestler meet and greet. There will be additional opportunities to donate via a cash raffle and a silent auction. The proceeds of the fundraiser will be given to Mashpee Middle School student and Falmouth Youth Hockey player Casey Fitzgerald, who was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma in November of last year.
The party will continue after the match at Quahog Republic’s Dive Bar location on Spring Bars Road in Falmouth.
