We are so excited for the third Cape Cod Women’s Music Festival taking place on Sunday, May 17 at the iconic Cape Cinema in Dennis. LLL favorite Sarah Swain has done it again, bringing together a phenomenal lineup of regional and national talent with a party you won’t want to miss. The best part? It’s all to benefit a local nonprofit.
Tickets are going fast for this year’s Cape Cod Women’s Music Festival, all proceeds of which go to the newly formed Cape Wellness Collaborative, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving access to integrative therapies, wellness education, and empowerment for those facing cancer on Cape Cod and the Islands.
CWC strives to be a helpful resource for connecting locals facing cancer with the most qualified wellness and integrative therapy practitioners in the community, and providing services to them free of charge via a network of approved practitioners. They will also serve as a general wellness resource for the public, helping to create awareness through events and information available on their website.
After two previous sold-out shows, this year’s highly anticipated CCWMF will be the first major fundraising event for CWC, with all proceeds going to the organization. Inspired to make a difference after losing her mother to ovarian cancer, Swain created the event in 2012 to help further the awareness of ovarian cancer pre-screening.
Provincetown-based star Zoe Lewis will serve as the master of ceremonies for the show and will perform in between sets. Headlining the evening is the folk-rock duo Sarah Lee Guthrie and Johnny Irion, with additional performances by Bonnie Hayes, Cape Cod African Dance and Drum, The Catie Flynn Band, Cerise Bynoe and the hostess with the most-est Sarah Swain with her band The Oh Boys.
The evening’s festivities start at 6pm under the tent (outside Cape Cinema), with refreshments and vendors including Cape Cod Beer and The Local Juice to name a few. There is also a special reception available for VIP ticket holders.
There are limited seats so get your tickets now and we’ll see you there!
