In one August weekend, two notable events offer ways to stretch your mind and body.
Love Yoga Fest takes place at Aselton Park in Hyannis Harbor August 15 and 16. There are more than 40 class offerings taught by 24 local and national presenters. Passes are available for the weekend, just a day, or single classes. Highlights include workshops with Tao Porchon Lynch, the oldest yoga teacher in the US at nearly 97; talks with authors Ethan Nichtern and Sara DiVello; and a concert featuring world music star Donna De Lory.
The LYF Marketplace is open to the public from 10am to 7pm, featuring local and national artists/artisans, makers, and wellness brands, food vendor and live music from DJ Sinnetti and Paul Rhythmryder.
On Sunday, August 16, 12,000 runners will take to the streets for the 43rd Falmouth Road Race. While registration is closed for this famous 7-mile course, there is a Family Fun Run at 5pm on August 15 and as well as a Health and Wellness Expo at Falmouth High School August 13-15.
