The spring is typically a time on Cape Cod when we see new businesses established and seasonal businesses reopen. This is absolutely true of Orleans this year as Main Street, Route 6A and the road to Nauset Beach become infused with new energy.
The shopping options in Orleans have always been vast from women’s clothing stores such asSavvy on Main, If the Shoe Fits, Beth Bishopand Weekend to gift shops like Blake & Co and children’s stores like Kid & Kaboodle, theRed Balloon Toy Shop and the Moppet Shop to specialty stores like Vintage in Vogue, theHoney Candle Shop, and Cape Coddle. Now Shift Eco Boutique has opened their second location on Main Street, and two of our great local makers are joining the Orleans ranks with shops of their own: local jewelry artist Molly Avellar will open Adorn in East Orleans and Emily Richardson will open Homegrown Trades next to the always fabulous Supple Apothecary on Route 6A. In addition to Molly’s jewelry, Adorn will house other handcrafted jewelry from all over the U.S. Homegrown Trades will carry Emily’s hand-sewn accessories and home goods, as well as other vintage picks and wares.
In between all of that shopping, there is no shortage of sustenance to keep you going. Jo Mamas has long been a favorite lunch spot, we’ve already shared the tastiness of Sunbird, and Chatham darling The Corner Store will open on Main Street in Orleans soon.
